MISSION STATEMENT

The Bytown Woodturners are committed to the pursuit and development of wood art:
  • We aim to provide club members opportunities to advance their turning skills, by sharing methods, techniques, experiences and experiments
  • We also aim to inspire members and encourage their creativity
  • We actively explore co-operation with all woodturners and with other arts and crafts to create a fusion of techniques and creativity
  • We promote arts and crafts in the community and encourage their development

If you are new to wood turning, we have a mentoring program to guide you through the learning process. If you are an experienced wood turner, our guild provides the opportunity to network with other skilled amateur and professional turners. Although our meetings are held in Ottawa, our membership includes wood turners from eastern Ontario and western Quebec.
